Temporary Works Engineer Job Description

Usual Responsibilities: 

  • Work very closely with live construction projects and constantly interacting with the project teams.
  • You will be tasked with effecting innovative design into construction methodology to save time on program and money.
  • At times you will also be involved in reviewing existing permanent works design to see if any valued engineering can be applied.
  • This role will have the best of both worlds of being able to design applications and then follow it out onto projects to see them put into practice.
  • Every effort will be made to accommodate your needs with respect to training and further professional development.

Temporary Works Engineer Requirements:

  • 5 years + experience, and hold a relevant degree in civil engineering or structural engineering
  • Previous demonstrated experience in Temporary Works solutions across piling, civils, scaffolding, formwork, retained solutions, and heavy lifting.
  • Previous experience with a top/mid-tier contractor in NZ, UK or Australian company, or equal experience within a design consultancy.
  • A good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering design valued engineering and other related technical design elements.
  • Chartership is considered a major benefit for the role
  • A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills

Average salary: $100k to $135.
