John Holland has announced David Lehmann as the new Chief Operating Officer, bringing 30 years of construction industry experience to help drive the next chapter of growth and success.
John Holland has announced the appointment of experienced executive David Lehmann to the role of Chief Operating Officer.
Previously Executive General Manager, Building for John Holland, Mr Lehmann brings more than 30 years of property and construction industry experience, as well as deep expertise in business strategy, leadership, operational excellence, and large-scale project delivery.
CEO Joe Barr says Mr Lehmann would be instrumental in driving the next chapter of growth and success for the business.
“David’s been involved in everything from winning work and project delivery to business performance – helping to drive growth and forge strong relationships with our partners. His new role will focus on connectivity, performance and governance right across the business.”
Mr Lehmann has previously held senior roles in Southeast Asia, Greater China and Australia, and has led John Holland’s national Building division since 2017.
In that time, he’s driven strong growth in revenue and overseen a pipeline of projects that includes the Sydney Football Stadium, Marvel Stadium Upgrade, Victorian Heart Hospital, the Waterfront Brisbane development, multiple hospital redevelopments across Australia, correctional facilities and much more.
As executive sponsor of John Holland’s Pride Network, and key driver of our partnership with the AFLW, Mr Lehmann is also a champion of change for the construction industry.
“He’s passionate about what’s important to our people and our business. He lives and breathes our values and culture every day and will continue to drive the change needed in our industry,” Mr Barr said.
Andrew Burr, currently General Manager Finance, will act in the role of Executive General Manager, Building, until a permanent replacement is found.
