At ConsultANZ, we are committed to raising awareness about recruitment scams to protect individuals and businesses from fraudulent activities that misuse our name.

For Candidates

Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in job scams, where fraudsters impersonate recruitment companies or consultants.

If you receive unsolicited job offers or suspect any fraudulent activity associated with ConsultANZ, please follow these steps:

  • Avoid interacting with or opening any links/attachments from suspicious messages.
  • Forward the message to [email protected] with relevant information.
  • Delete the email from your inbox and clear your trash folder.

Warning Signs of Recruitment Scams:

Here are some indicators that someone contacting you might be a scammer:

  • Requests for personal financial details.
  • Requests for payment to be considered for a job.
  • Offers that guarantee employment or income.
  • Poor spelling or grammar in communications.
  • A lack of verifiable information or activity on the person’s profile.
  • No image or a suspicious profile image on social media such as LinkedIn.

At ConsultANZ, we will never request direct payment from candidates for job applications. All our official email communications come from our company domain: consultanz.com.au

Instant Messaging Scams:

Scammers are also using platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or Telegram to impersonate recruitment consultants. If you receive suspicious messages, block and report the contact through the platform’s reporting options.

For Clients

ConsultANZ is aware of a fraudulent schemes involving fake Australian Business Numbers (ABNs) targeting clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. These scams aim to redirect payments to unauthorized bank accounts.

To protect yourself from falling victim to this scam, please keep the following important points in mind:

  • Do not change payment details: Under no circumstances should you update payment information based on an email request. Such requests are likely fraudulent.
  • Verify directly with ConsultANZ: If you receive a communication asking for changes in payment details, contact us immediately at [email protected]
  • Stay vigilant: Be cautious of any suspicious messages or emails appearing to be from ConsultANZ that request changes to payment information. Always confirm with us before proceeding.
