Spray Seal Manager Job Description
Spray Seal Managers are responsible for managing the implementation of spray seal projects in the construction of roads and pavements. The role generally consists of planning, managing, coordinating, and executing spray seal activities to ensure the successful completion of civil engineering and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the crew and ensure that all sites follow health and safety guidelines
- Develop project plans for spray sealing projects, considering the timeline, resource requirements and budget
- Interact with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Identify and resolve any challenges that may arise during spray sealing projects
- Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure optimal productivity
- Implement strict quality control measures to ensure projects meet the required standards and specifications
- Prepare and present progress reports, budget status, and any key performance indicators to management and stakeholders
- Quality Assurance: Implement strict quality control measures to ensure that spray sealing projects meet the required standards and specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or any other related qualifications
- Ability to understand and interpret relevant pavement specifications
- Proven experience in managing spray sealing projects in the construction or infrastructure industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of spray sealing techniques, materials, and best practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid driver’s license
Working Conditions
- Occasionally work overtime to meet tight deadlines
- Work on various construction project sites
- Often work in different weather conditions such as heat, cold, or rain
Average Salary
- $120k – $130k per year in Australia
