Graduates from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds can now apply for the two-year graduate program starting in 2024 at Victoria’s Big Build.
100 new people are wanted in Victoria to help build big and work across the Level Crossing Removal Project, Major Road Projects Victoria, North East Link Program, Rail Projects Victoria and West Gate Tunnel Project.
If successful, graduates will undertake a two-year program featuring structured learning and development opportunities as well as career planning to prepare for the next step in their professional lives.
They’ll develop technical and workforce skills, working alongside industry leaders and learning from experts eager to help and guide the next generation of talent.
By joining one of our project teams, graduates will gain first-hand experience working on state-shaping projects that will make it easier for Victorians to get where they need to go quickly and safely.
Job specialties across Victoria’s Big Build include engineering, graphic design, human resources, information systems, land planning and environment, and law.
The Big Build Graduate Program is recognised by the Australian Association of Graduate Employers as one of the country’s best workplaces for graduates.
Last year more than 1,600 graduates applied to be part of the 2023 cohort, with 138 making it through to hiring.
“Victoria’s Big Build employs 50,000 people directly and indirectly and the best and brightest graduates are applying to be part of the team that is transforming the way Victorians travel,” says Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Jacinta Allan.
Graduates wishing to apply must have completed a degree since January 2021 or be due to graduate by January 2024, hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to the role applied for and have full Australian working rights at the time of application.
If you have completed a master’s degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing your bachelor’s degree.
“If you feel like you have something to offer and you’re keen to learn from industry experts across a wide range of disciplines, all while getting paid a competitive salary, don’t hesitate to get your application in. We’d love to have you help us deliver Victoria’s Big Build in 2024,” says Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Jacinta Allan.
Applications to be part of the 2024 Victoria’s Big Build Graduate Program close on 22 March Wednesday 2023.
