The Cook Government has launched a new online dashboard featuring $8.7 billion worth of public works to assist Western Australia’s construction industry plan and prepare to bid for Government tenders.
The Pipeline of Works interactive dashboard features current and planned non-residential building and other infrastructure projects, many of which are managed by the Department of Finance and form a key part of the State Government’s unprecedented $43.9 billion Asset Investment Program.
“Our Government’s record $43.9 billion Asset Investment Program is setting up our State for the future, and importantly, providing massive opportunities for local construction businesses and workers,” says Western Australia Treasurer Rita Saffioti.
“This dashboard will be a key tool in helping these local companies to plan ahead, prepare and bid for potential jobs and make adjustments to their business as required, like increasing their workforce, to deliver these vital projects,” says Western Australia Treasurer Rita Saffioti.
The dashboard, in conjunction with the State Infrastructure Plan and State Budget Papers, increases transparency around infrastructure spending and provides a trusted source of information with updated forecasts and data to attract new entrants to WA’s building market and encourage increased competition and innovation.
“The Pipeline of Works interactive dashboard demonstrates the Cook Government’s commitment to enhancing economic and social outcomes for the State as we continue to create jobs and opportunities through Government spending,” says Finance Minister Sue Ellery.
“The interactive dashboard assists local businesses as they plan and prepare to bid for WA Government tenders relating to non-residential and other infrastructure projects,” says Finance Minister Sue Ellery.
“I encourage local industry to click on to this new user-friendly dashboard and view the upcoming tendering opportunities across WA,” says Finance Minister Sue Ellery.
WA is thriving with a number of projects currently underway and many more planned, leading to additional job opportunities and making WA an attractive place for people interstate and overseas to work and live.
The dashboard provides information about many of these major projects including hospitals, schools, and other developments.
Programs of works, ICT-related projects and METRONET and other Transport-related projects continue to be available from other State Government agency websites and publications.
